Another strange convoy thing: I've just met a convoy that seemed to be completely stuck in open seas (about AM7813). The weather was excellent, no wind at all, they were reported by BdU to be headed NNE at 7 knots, so I went to intercept. Plotted the course and waited... and waited... and waited... for hours. They were all the time on the hydrophone, but never got closer, they just changed bearing from, say, 330 to 30, then back to 330. After I got impatient I sailed in their general direction, tracking them with my hydrophone, and finally got close enough to see the first escort (a Swan Class). She was just wandering to and fro, at low or medium speed, from right to left and back. So were the merchants (beyond my visible range). No sounds of broken or sinking ships, just the screws, and my hydrophone guy repeatedly reported them anew, anew and anew (but they never went out of his range). The BdU report came at 0306, I left the spot late the next night, and they were still there.

BTW: I got a bug in the same time, that prevented me from using TDC, so I quit the game with "Abandon career" option... and was sent to my office screen, with all the options, like going to another patrol, managing the crew, buying sub upgrades. My PC haunted? :hmm:
