You didn't do damage. What really happened was one of those IJN guys desperately wanted to preserve ship rivets, so he carefully removed them, hence the split in the hull. Some guys just want all the credit. 
With me now I had to almost empty all of my deck gun ammo just to sink a blazing DD. Some guys have all the luck! |
