My third day back at work and I just told my boss that i'm leaving. It's about time really, i've been here since 2002 and been looking for a new job since 2004 but as I work full time I've found it hard to go to interviews plus the jobs I did get I needed to start immediately although I need to give 2-4 weeks notice to quit here...
I've got weeks of untaken holiday and i've got a job lined up early Feb so i'm finishing here in a few weeks and taking some more time off.
What triggered this though? Well, I sprained my ankle when I stacked my motorbike so i'm not in the best mood, especially when my boss hasn't even asked how it happened.. It's a trick to get out of work or something to him... The real "I'm not taking this crap anymore" moment came when I handed my timesheets up and he said they now have to be in on Friday or I won't be paid on the Monday (today) which is fair enough but recently i've been getting paid two or even three days late which I made no complaint about yet I get this crap about my timesheets? Hint, don't be overly accepting or people will abuse this trait.... I then mentioned how for the last two years my Payday as fallen on New Years eve and it's taken me to call him late in the afternoon to ask him to put my pay in which not only delays my plans it also upsets people who are waiting for me to get money so we can go out!!!
Plus my job is a repetitve, dead end, underpayed & overworked piece of crap where my achievements are not acknowledged while any slip up is commented upon and frequently I had nothing to do with what went wrong.....
