I was watching Operation Pacific last night and several times John Wayne (captain) would call out "submerged battle stations" over the 1MC, rather than sounding the klaxon, which makes perfect sense.

The most humorous part of the movie was how they would shoot a torpedo at a target within 30 seconds of spotting it. I realize that they were speeding things up to keep the audience interested, but talk about click and shoot. Reminded me of my SH1 days.
