In some respects not a bad idea. On this side of the pond, getting doctor appointments is sometimes very tough. I was refered to a urologist that was not taking anymore patients as he had more than he could handle. On down the list I went until I found one who would schedule me in but it was over 4 weeks before he could see me. There is definitely a high demand but supply of doctors is very low. So, this is a way of relieving some of the glut in the doctor market place. Anyway, I had a procedure done (non-evasive) and pills were prescribed. He asked that I came back in 2 months. I see no reason to physically see the doctor. Over the phone consult would work fine with the condition I went to see him about. If I'm able to do this it saves me time off from work and having to go see him. Five to ten minute phone call would work just fine. He can schedule in someone who does really need to see him.
