A lil confused here, did you remove SF before reinstalling? If not do so. After you re-install try run the patch before removing starforce...
Do not run SHIII before hand starforce doesn't install untill the game is first run. Once the patch is installed try run the game then use SF removal tool. Hope this helps, report back if not. FWIW my original disk refuses to install at all any more had to buy a new, not scatched or any blemishes
All this and after buying a new dvd drive too.
