U-22, Type IIA of U-Flotilla Weddigen, March 1940. Lieutenant Sr. Ernst Leitzke. 6 patrols (73 days at sea) for just under 30,000 tons, including 7 merchants and 4 warships.

Leitzke is starting to realize he must be patient, and only use torps on the bigger merchants.
