Thanks Badger but this was a fresh install of everything on a new PC so it was the first time running the 16k mod. Have since rolled back and re-run anyway for another mod (antennas lowered) and the problem persists.
Just as for Marko_Ramius, my old ATI rig never had the problem. To my mind it's either the new 8800GT, its drivers or possibly the 16km mod. As not everyone using the 16km mod has the problem I'm thinking it's either the card or more likely its drivers. Or perhaps the way I've got it set up as it's a bit different to the Catalyst Control Center I'm used to

I too could live with it if need be as otherwise the card is very, very good!
As for GWX 2.0 I had my first contacts last night. Chased down two merchants off Portugal only to find they had their Christmas lights on - Irish neutrals!
