To be honest most countries implement a tv license.
Every european country does, maybe not as costly as the british one but its there.
In Italy we pay 110 € per year for the privilege of
possessing a tv (doesn't matter if you actually watch the tv).
In France its over 120 € per year.
The only country that doesn't enforce a tv license is the USA.
