The position keeper will tell you what bearing it thinks the target is on. If that bearing and the real bearing to target do not become different over time, then you know the solution is pretty accurate.
If you hold your mouse over the lower dial in the tdc a tool tip will pop up giving you the Pos Keepers bearing to target.
Another good way to check is the range. Take a range reading, then wait for awhile. The position keeper will count down the range as the target closes. If when you take another range reading the 2 numbers aren't close to each other, then you will know there is a problem.
