In which case you might know the truth about this one, which has always puzzled me:
Obviously everyone knows (probably mainly from the John Woo/Travolta/Slater movie) that Broken Arrow is the codename for nuclear mishaps of this nature, but I had read that Broken Arrow was also the code word for over the radio indicating that your position had been overrun and that you authorised strike aircraft to bomb your own position. Is this true? and if it is, why is the same code name used for two very different things?
