Hi!
The difference will likely be a lot more than two kilometers...
For example, the distance from Boston to Berlin in real life (great circle route) is about 6,000 km; in Silent Hunter III, the distance from Boston to Berlin is over 10,000 km. That alone may account for the apparent Type IXB fuel shortage.
It is very difficult to adequately deal with this issue since the difference between reality and Silent Hunter III distances gets better as you go towards the equator ( e.g., if you're patrolling off West Africa), but much worse as you approach the poles ( e.g., if you are patrolling off Norway). It also makes it somewhat difficult to recreate historical events, since historical accounts often give locations in latitude and longitude....
Hope this helps

Yes I know it more than a few Km's. I was joking.

But its also a game and not real. So there will be errors and mistakes. I just like playing it because it give us the imagination of being there.

To wonder what the sailers went through. Sort of an active animated realtime book.:hmm: I'm sure DEV team had many dreams to make SH3 amazing. Problem is publishers restricting the Ubisoft DEV teams creative quality over profits.
Anyhow modders have picked up the slack and made SH3 amazing. Possibly beyond the dreams of the DEV SH3 team.
