didn't they do an experiment to prove this strangeness..?

i'm not a scientist so don't expect me to get the details right..but..the jist of it was something along these lines....some form of binary molecule or electron or similar..was split in two ...one electron was taken to a university many miles away ..the other remained at the home university...the rule was that if one electron was positively charged ..then the other must become negatively charged (for the universe to make sense..anyhuw lol)....BUT ..and here was the rub of the experiment...this did not happen untill one or the other electron was observed under an electron microscope (or something similar..or at the very least the polarity was measured iin some way)

every time one electron was observed the other automatically changed to match the measurement taken from the first electron...so if the first was observed to be negative ..the other immediately became positive...the whole shebang of the thing was
a/why did this only happen when the electron was observed...
and
b/ how the heck did the "other" elctron "know" that the first had been observed and change polarity to match..

as i say haven't got the details correct but the basic idea is there some where...anyhuw they did demonstrate "it" or something anyway.:hmm:

or maybe it was that when they changed the polarity of one of the electrons the other immediately changed to match (even tho it was 50 miles away and isolated in a laboratory)
weird and wacky universe we live in
