I have also played the game for several months in all manner of strange mod conditions and without mods and never seen this. It is amazing to me how someone will just go off catastrophizing about non-consequential issues.
It reminds me of the infamous rants about the periscope animations that are completely irrelevent to playing the game at all. Would it be nice to see periscopes moving up and down when we should be fighting the boat? Sure, I'll grant that is a good way to get killed enjoyably. But does it mean a thing to the process of hide, stalk, destroy? Not in the slightest.
A sense of proportion seems appropriate here. I just don't understand the hysterics. This is a little issue not worth spending time on when larger and consequential issues abound. This is a great game. I've spent a lot of time lately showing that the devs exercised due dilligence, making a game that despite popular opinion, reflects historical fact in many ways hotheads have deemed defective.
Determining historical fact is done by careful research of proper sources, sometimes weighing contradictory data to arrive at a reasonable solution. Approaching a problem with running the game is done by recounting exact configuration of hardware, software and game conditions that produce the problem, not yelling and ranting in SUBSIM like a puppy that just got his tail docked with a meat grinder.
