Got to agree with Xabba on the last Bond flick. It was outstanding in my opinion, definitely the best one there has ever been in finally getting away from all that preposterous one-liner innuendo stuff - a feature that made it seem like 'Carry on Bond' when the series was at its nadir with Roger Moore in the role.
The last Bond movie was great as a set up for a new take on matters which will see it rival more 'serious' action flicks. Even the music was scored with that scenario in mind, slowly building throughout the film to the recognisable Bond musical motif, which eventually played as the character announced himself right in the closing scene as a newly reborn take on Fleming's books with a more serious slant.
Give me that any day over stupid invisible Aston Martins, ice palaces, Lotus submarines or John Cleese trying to turn it into a farce instead of Desmond Llewelyn's wonderfully dry performances.
