The Crew of this Old engine Aft Tanker had radioed and said they wanted to be "immortalized" on the Pompano's conning tower, but they must have had "Cold Feet" as the ship wouldn't sink. (One Torpedo amidships and over one hundred rounds of 3"/50 ammunition and still wouldn't go down.)
