Well, maybe I should rephrase my post then to say "Publishers and devs are favoring Nvidia's...advertising money".
Honestly, your post is the first time I've heard it stated that those loading screens are nothing more than advertising space. I honestly was led to believe it was something more, but I certainly acknowledge your 'insiders' insight.
Although it would probably be a time consuming effort to google up all the documents, I honestly do seem to recall some incidents in the past where certain developers were actually optimizing game code to work better with a particular chipset or drivers, perhaps because a little more than just 'advertising money' was given. Of course, it could have been false information too. I'm actually going to look into it a bit now, just out of my own curiosity.
But hearing your insight that those images are nothing but paid advertising, is definately an interesting bit of info.
