Somebody with more naval experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong but I think it was common practice in order to maintain proper list, trim, draft, balance, and stability to ship seawater into the sub's tanks for every torpedo fired as well as food stuffs and fuel consumed. Odds are your sub is every bit as heavy for the props and engines to push through the water with all the torpedoes expended. :hmm:
