Thundering typhoons!
Well I managed to shake the destroyers loose and return to the spot where I torpedoed the Hood. Nothing to be found, I searched the area for about 48 hours but could not find a trace of her.
I haven't received credit for the sinking so I an only assume she limped off to Scapa Flow. Although part of me wonders how she could, when I last saw her she was on fire, listing and sitting low in the water.
That was the first time I have ever gotten a good shot at a task force, usually they are too fast and I am out of position.
Another time perhaps
Oh and in response to reallydedpoet I did try SH4 lately modded and patched and while a vast improvement over stock I was still running to some common stability issues. Going to shelve it to 1.4 and try again
