Howdy all...

I'm not sure if I'm asking this in the right place, so forgive my noobness!

In TM, there is a button that allows you to automatically identify ships. As TM is an advanced realism mod, I found this to be a bit strange. And while I love the mod as a whole and would never question the brilliant work done by the modders in this community, I have to ask....how historically accurate is this? And lastly, is there a way to disable this?
