the moment Al Quaeda is gone, shia and sunni will hang at each other's throat again. Too many open bills, too mujch religiously motivated hostility, too many foreign powers wanting to stremngthen their grab in Iraq, and too many years now where they say "I think their army is not yet ready, I think they need another years". As a matter of fact their army is close to nothing, and police and administration is heavily infsted with spies and AQ agents, and corruption and religious animosities finish the rest of what is left of any eventual "power" of the goivernment. And iran - anyone thinking they will give up their ambitions in Iraq just because Al Quaeda is gone? Iraq is one of the two actual battlefield between saudi Arabia, and Iran. Wether AQ remains to be a voice there is of little more than no importance. Also, AQ is much more than just Bin Laden. It is not even an organization in the main. Primarily, it is a school of mind, a way of thinking and perceiving life and the world. That'S why it is so dangerous. reports like the one being linked to simplify it too much, they try hard to give problems an appearance for which one hopes to have the tools to solve them. Else one would need to admit one has no appropriate tools - and who wants that? If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail.
