Thanks for the help guys. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any tanks, so I had to go ahead and pressed the big red button, nuking the board.
No, the game wasn't timed because Chess Titans doesn't give you that option...
But at least one of the rules SUBMAN posted seem to apply, as when I was about to make the last move to put an end to the waltzing the game ended in a draw. Too many useless moves, I suppose.
The thing is I couldn't get the prison thing to work because I'd keep close to the black king, attempting to lock him down already, then he'd just move aggressivey towards the Rook to push it away. With more patience and with my king blocking his moves I finally managed to imprison him, following Hakahura's children guide and Skybird's overkill move list.
