Although my crew is always nervous, when des boss dives down to 210, this is my standard depth to evade the DDs. If this can not be achieved, I think about the option to leave on torp in tube ready for "self defense" (
)... and at that point my crew gets REALY nervous.
You can always blast yourself your egress corrridor though the escorts.
It just costs you for tonnage and BDU might call this an unnecessary risk
