If you want to open all the tubes at once, select a full spread from the TDC screen and press Q. Then unselect the spread option. That will open all tubes and if you goto the Peri/Obs screen straightaway, they will remain open and you can fire them all in sequence.

Please note, that if you then select different tubes while in the Peri/Obs screen they will close again.
