Alas, some would consider it cheating.. I however think of it in different temrs. You're a sub skipper, you should be able to adapt to the situtation and exploit a defficiency of your enemy, (even if it is a pin head AI at the helm of the boat).
So in my words, I don't think you're cheating, just slipping thru a loophole
