No, don't disable the feature (probably can't for just one section of SS). All or nothing.
However, you can set a 'lifetime' for the poll. Maybe 1 week and after that no further votes can be made (I think the Poll Creator can do this too). |
I would actually suggest that this feature should be disabled for members that haven't already contributed a reasonable number of posts - say 2000 or more
