He explained it to them but had it been me I would have said something in the way of "none of your f#$$ing business, I bought this software and I own it and I will reinstall it as many times as I want". Anyway, these tactics have led a person who used to somewhat like MS to not liking them very much.

Supposedly you can install to new computer after 6 months without hassle. It's worked for me.
