Other then the couple of tools that came with my PC (eg. DVD/CD burner app), I have not installed anything into "program files" - it's all in my user area, or in a "C:\applications" directory. You could also disable UAC from the control panel, but that may mess up OS updates and such, so it's easier to bypass UAC's obnoxious user-level intervention by not using "program files" for your apps.
Hey,

May I ask how you install a program into your "Games" directory, and not your "Program Files"? If this will indeed end Vistas meddling, it will help alot.
