In this thread I seem to have stumbled upon:
1) announcement of maybe a patch
2) forum war
3) apparently
the authoritative 1.4 patch features request thread (darn I guess I missed out)
4) a number of strange characters with issues
5) a call to arms that reads like a gas station embargo chain letter (and probably had about the same economic impact)
6) jilted and/or banned users
7) locked threads
8) clandestine Ubisoft customer support case files (I knew they were watching us
)
9) the official spokesperson of some French guy
