#1 ---------- the GWX modders will have to answer that one.
#2 --------- Depends on what you would like out of the sim. There are several mini mods that will run just fine with the current version of GWX (SH3 Commander and Weather mod among them). So think about what it is that you'd like to change and either search for a mod that changes it, or ask about it here
