If using SP2 there is a needed fix, I'm not sure what it is, the only problem when using the high res mod is the fact that the cursor can dissappear on the bottom & right of the screen by the amout of pixels higher than the 1024x768 standard, this is annoying with slideout mods!
To get a better picture I just use AA & FSA, however I do run it in 1024x768 mode to have the snapshot feature hitting the "PrtScr" key & saves as tga.
