Spare us the same BS assertion that criticism of Israel is anti-semitism. Its rather cowardly and pathetic to throw that around. Its also an ad hominem attack at the man rather than the argument.

Just link another irrelavent article already and spare us your pejoratives.

i mean israel already has nukes, already has american military hardware, f-15s, f-18s f-16s , laser guided bombs, bunker busters, cruise missiles and ICBMS.... why havent you attacked Iran yet and "disarmed" them?? they are a threat arent they???
For my own unpopular and soon to be flamed POV:

1. America invests in Israel as a satellite for its foreign policy in the Middle East which has been since the end of the 2nd World War essentially the same as that of the now defunkt British Empire: control of critical regional resources for the purpose of exploiting them for their own benefit. So wars that favour Israel favour America, in theory.

2. Panic at Syria and Iran are all mythological. Ever since the mid 70s Israel hasn't faced a serious threat from anyone in the world. They entire policy since the war of 1973 was to secure their predominance in the region. This could be seen as a form of Imprerialism for of aggressive self defense: you cannot be attacked if you control all the players. It is most likely both. Ever since Egypt offered Israel peace and Israel refused and chose to continue occupying lands Israel has been an aggressive expansionist force. The statement that they are simply interested in security is rather weak when you look at the fact that they could have taken a peaceful solution at that time and chose more war. It was pragmatic self-serviance, and not on a level that means peace predominantly.

So the threat from Iran isn't one of annihilation but simply dissolution of their lone dominant power which they've had since the 70s. Israel chose the hostile overpowering approach to diplomacy and as a result their neighbours aren't as complicant as they wish. Does this mean Iran will annihilate Israel? Doubtful since their self-interest is better served by growth of their economy. They might bandy about lots of very provocative alnguage but they aren't as stupid as they're made to be. The US, however, seems more stupid and willing to destroy the entire world economy by attacking Iran and creating the worst oil crisis in history.

Like I said, wars for Israel benefit America, in theory.
