This has been mentioned a while back.....a film with so many variants that was aimed at such a wide and diverse audience was always going to have subtle 'differences'.
I do agree with you though. Provided there were identical words in both German and English languages, there should have been very few differences.
I don't speak German, but I wonder if it was down the lack of understanding of both languages by the person responsible for the sub titles. :hmm:
