I'll try to make an all-in-one comand button bar sometime this weekend/early next week. The one file you mod is compatible with all other mods. It is sorely needed IMO.

Beats me why, but I believe that this is the command you need to mess with for this, even though it's called something totally weird - when I hit "shift G" (or speak the corresponding voice command I've assigned to this in minsc_tdp's SH4Speech program) after adding the last line highlighted below to this command group (in Commands.cfg), the game gives me a report of the maximum range at current speed:
