I was talking to the security guard outside my bank the other night while waiting to use the ATM. He was about 55, and had emigrated from Russia to the United States in the late 1980's. I think he said his father was Jewish, but his mother was Russian so he had a Russian passport.
And to quote him, "My Passport said Russian, but my nose said Jew so I was always getting beaten up."
