I took my XXI into the lane of the D-Day forces in June 1944 on my first patrol.
Managed to sink 72000 tons before i had to escape. 7 DD's and several aircrafts upon you really makes you bite your nails. After gettin deeper water under my keel only one tube was working my conning tower was nothing more than scrap metal and my engines coughed like an old horse.
