I went there, too. But my stupid gunners fired at and sunk a Portuguese tug and all hell broke loose from shore batteries.
I've just gone into Porto Delgado (June 41) to check up on this shore battery thing. I cannot see anything (Im there at 1300) and have popped one shell into a Portuguese tramper, with no response. Maybe they install them later, but as late as June 41, you won't risk return fire if you accidentally hit a local (renown, of course, is another thing).
Whoa... did NOT see that Portuguese armed merchant, though!
