Is there a specific exp points or number of patrols that will "open" the uboat front clasp to give to the crew?
Thanks for the help.
PS. If I've missed this how do I give them the uboat front clasp.(The time is summer 1940, and I'm playing GXW1.03 loaded via SH3 Commander)
SH3 will throw them at you from time-to-time, but please remember that in real life the U-boat Front Clasp was not established until 15 May 1944. As SH3Cmdr models itself off actual historical availability and award conditions, this means that you will not see the clasp available in SH3Cmdr until that date.

This is why, for those wanting historical medal and badge availability, it is recommended that they solely use SH3Cmdr to award medals and badges. Otherwise they'll have a crew of guys running around with clasps, German Crosses and U-boat badges in September 1939! If players don't want to observe historical availability, then they can continue to award through SH3 and ignore SH3Cmdr's subsequent suggestions.
I do use SH3 Commander, but in spite of this line (2=**This crewman has been awarded a U-Boat Front Clasp, however, the clasp was not established until 15 May 1944. [02]) in the Sh3 Commander files, I received the Front Clasp in 1940!
SH3 Commander allows me to remove this medal from my crew if awarded too early, but not (as far as I can see) from my own career file.
Is there a way to change the award dates in the files, to ensure this medal is not awarded to me before the historical date?

In the SH3 folder (path: ProgramFiles/SH3/Data/CFG/Medals)I find the following:

[AWARDED_MEDAL_0]
Idx=0
Cantity=1

[AWARDED_MEDAL_1]
Idx=1
Cantity=2

[AWARDED_MEDAL_2]
Idx=2
Cantity=0

[AWARDED_MEDAL_3]
Idx=3
Cantity=0

[AWARDED_MEDAL_4]
Idx=4
Cantity=20

and

[MEDAL_0]
Idx=0
Cantity=1

[MEDAL_1]
Idx=1
Cantity=2

[MEDAL_2]
Idx=2
Cantity=0

[MEDAL_3]
Idx=3
Cantity=0

[MEDAL_4]
Idx=4
Cantity=20

etc., but I don't understand enough about CFG [Idx? Cantity?] to know if changing anything there would help.

Any ideas?
