I love the name, too, as it reminds me of
Empires: Dawn of the Modern World, a game I loved and played a lot for years.

Only because graphics keep improving. While I love good graphics as much as the next guy, I never let the lack of them spoil the fun for me, unless they're
really primitive (as in 386 computer-primitive). I can play and love games like
Dominions 3 (an
incredibly deep and detailed 4X strategy game which I heartily recommend) just fine.
