Getting OT here but what I can't stand about so many of these drama shows is the distractions from the professions being portrayed, to introduce some stupid plot about this one's sister/brother/son/daughter/whatever.
Just imagine had we been dragged through Perry Mason asking Della Street out to dinner, only to find out that she's been secretly dating Hamilton Burger, who's managed to get Stella to reveal some of Mason's office secrets. Oh, and of course, the cops arrest Paul Drake, 'cause that ain't pipe tobacco he was caught smoking.
Of course, Drake explains that he's having chemo treatment and there's no other way he can find relief from the side effects.
