actually, by plotting team I think he meant when you click the "estimate speed" button on the TDC input tool you are given an estimate of the target's course and speed.
After you take two range measurements and click the estimate speed button, you get something like "target speed 5 knots, course 285". You then send that to the tdc and adjust the AOB accordingly.
