The heavy weathered skins I make, are mostly based on pictures..
This is how a sub would look like after a patrol.
I cannot find a lot of photos with rust.. looks like they painted the boats regurly..
Do you have a photo how you want the sub to look like ? |
No I dont, I just like the added character a ship with pouring rust stains at some of the seams would have.
What Im looking for would likly be more like a moth-balled boat. Tired, worn and combat weary. |
I will put it on the to do list.. but it will take a while.

Ouch!! not that rusty
! But certainly a bit of the rust pouring off the deck to far left extreme of the pic, and the conning tower rust, but much more subtle. Oooo, yeah and rust and chipping paint like that on the scopes, but much smaller.
