I've been reading a book about operation pedestal - the do-or-die convoy to Malta in 1942 that is generally considered to have been the edge Malta needed to survive tha Axis attacks.

The tanker Ohio had two planes crash nearby after being shot down, then bounce off the sea and land on the decks. One on the foredeck (a JU 87) and one on the stern (JU 88). Another ship also had a JU 88 splash down, only to bounce up onto their deck as well.

Diving aircraft attacks on ships seem to often have very odd outcomes.
