[TEC] Information on adjustments to the game
Okay this may sound very strainge to some of you and I do not know the reason why it happens but after all the work I have done with the scene file particle files and ship sinkings and more I have found that the more times you check your changes you have made in the single missions the more your changes effect them instead of the campaign mode playing. And the same works the other way around.
I make all of my changes and test them in the campaign mode because that is all I ever play so my changes show up in there instantly but if I decied to double check them in a single mission none of them work the way they are supose to.
For example the new storm conditions I created for wave stage 4 do not work in single missions they look like wave state 3 or less but as soon as I load up a save from my campaign all the changes I make show up perfectly.
So I sugest that what work you moders are doing should be based on what you are trying to effect be it single missions or campaign missions. This is why the changes to the lightning that C.C. and I at first only showed up in his single mission but as soon as I went to the campaign play it wasn't there. But once I started making changes to the lightning effects and chacking it ONLY in campaign mode all the changes started to work and come into play.
The same works for ship explosion effects and sinking times everything changes vs how and where you check the results.
In a test mission my new wave effects do not come over the decks of the sub but in campaign mode they do come over the decks.
I know it is harder to test in campaign mode and takes more time but the end results will be much more realistic and work better for most people playing the game. Maybe it has somthing to do with saved games I don't know just wanted to post what I have actualy found time and time again over and over again.
I hope this helps some of you out in your confusion about why it works here and not there.
