OK, here's my redone layout with JScones suggestions implemented (as I understand them anyway

Note: I didn't add the "Edit Event" button since the data grid will be editable.
I'm going to go ahead and start coding on it, but any further suggestions would still be welcomed.

I've got to start paying more attention to the state of the software world
. While travelling around the country in my second career, I totally lost track of what programming languages were in use with Windoze. I just "ass-u-me-d" that COBOL was dead. Now I see that there are several "free" COBOL compilers (or should I say translators since what I saw ports the code over to C). You may just be right about it still being around when the "9999" bug hits.
