Now this NSS_Uboat7c41 folder has a separate .dat and .val file labeled NSS_Uboat7c41.dat and NSS_Uboat7c41.val (which I have not modded to enable smoke). It also has all the other files commonly found in the \data\Submarine folders. It appears that the VIIc/41 and VIIc/42 use the NSS_Uboat7b files. So what's the function/purpose of the NSS_Uboat7b41 folder? I tried this with my smoke mod disabled for VIIc and both the VIIc/41 and VIIc/42 lose their smoke. Anyone got any ideas?
I tried deleting the folder and it caused a CTD. So there are some files that are needed.......time to explore what is needed in that folder.
I restored the folder and deleted the NSS_Uboat7b41.dat and NSS_Uboat7b41.val and everything is fine. This is very puzzling to me!
I'll keep deleting files and see what happens......

Hi Racerboy,
I remember a post of
Sergbuto where he said that he didn't change/clone the object IDs of his 7c/41 AI sub. After comparison of both files [stock's .dat & 7c/41's .dat] by Pack3D I got that confirmed. Maybe that's the reason why this uboat also got exhaust smoke because you use the same object IDs, too.
I hope you understand my thoughts in spite of my bad English :hmm:
