It's not the diving planes. In the control room when you dive or surface, if you look left the WO and navigator and the table are tilted one way, and the guys on the diving helm and your CE are tilted another way. It varies and there does not seem to be a logic to it. So you could crash dive and the right side (looking forward to where the capatin's bunk and sonar is) is tilting
down, and the other side is tilting
up.
