Ahem, my dear Mr. Brag, I have to correct you a little bit.

It isn't the tidal differences that create the water exchange in the Med.
It's the difference in water density.
The Med water is more dense due to evaporation, it sinks to the bottom and flows out of the Med.
Atlantic 'light' water flows into the Med to compensate the water loss due to evaporation.

The Atlantic water current flows with about 5 to 10 km/h into the Med.

And it isn't simulated in SH3.
