That sure would be nice. Currently it's easy to know it's an aircraft contact with only the SD radar set involved, but with both SD and SJ installed you have no way of knowing, unless you do a sweep on the PPI. And, of course, the whole time that aircraft is bearing down on your position...
Not to mention, SD radar was
non-directional. It could give you vague distance and course information (i.e., closing, moving away, etc.), but it could not give bearing info.
