That much you can definately fix. Edit C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\Data\Cfg\commands.cfg and change [cmd 34] to:
[Cmd34]
Name=Attack_2D_map
Ctxt=1
MnID=0x3F020009
Key0=0x75,s,"SHIFT F6"
Page=0x32000000,3741
Shift-F6 will then bring up the attack map. If you don't like that key, sub in the correct hex code and description! That's how I've got it set up, except I don't use the keyboard, I use Shoot! which is programmed to send Shift-F6 when I say "Attack Map". Very convenient
